Under the program, recipients of fruitcakes this Christmas season can haul their dreaded bricks of bread and fruit to a Cold Stone Creamery and exchange it for a $5.00 discount off any medium 8-inch ice cream cake.

Tantra "Erotic" Energy Drink

Austrian based Top Products Trade GmbH, is pushing a couple of energy drinks marketed as "erotic energizers".

It claims the aphrodisiac comes from a combination of ginseng and Shizandra, a fruit found in Asia. Other than that, Tantra relies on pretty much the same list of power boosting ingredients found in hundreds of other energy drinks.

In its product description, the manufacturer has the balls to claim that their target group includes teens as young as 16 years of age. And yes, they're exporting this stuff to the USA.

The two varieties are "Tantra Erotic Energy Drink", and "X-Zantra Erotic Energy Drink". The best I can tell, there isn't much difference between the two.

Sweetriot Chocolate Covered Cacao Peaces

Sweetriot Inc. introduces their new line of chocolate covered cacao bean "peaces". The beans are broken up into smaller chunks, then coated in one of three varieties of chocolate, 50% dark chocolate, 65% dark chocolate, and 70% dark chocolate.

The Cacao nibs are said to be all natural, free of GMO, vegan, and kosher. Priced at $4.50 and $6.00, and sold in stores throughout the Atlantic, and North East regions of the USA.

Vitalice Energy Popsicles

Rivermill Ltd., a UK company, is pushing a new product called "Vitalice Ice Lolly", an energized Popsicle, available only in Europe.

Vitalice delivers its kick through a combination of guarana, ginseng, and taurine. It comes in two varieties, Vitamin Kick Multifruit, and Energy Kick Red/Orange.

Their website depicts images of promiscuous 20-year old party goers sucking on their frozen energy treats, sporting "youth attitude" facial expressions, suggesting that the rest of us have gone stale.

I guess I'm having trouble imagining myself bellying up to the bar and asking for a Popsicle.

Star Ice Alcoholic Fruit Drinks

Star Ice is a newcomer to the world of flavored alcoholic beverages, hailing from the Land Downunder.

In Australia, it's known as Star Vodka. The company wanted to expand to the USA, but a marketing research company decided it was better to redesign the brand to target a younger more hip consumer. Hence was born "Star Ice".

Star Ice contains 5% alcohol by volume, and is available in Raspberry, Passion Fruit, Cranberry and Green Apple flavors.

McCain Foods, a UK-based company, added a new variety to their line of frozen potato wedges, "Aromatic Thai Spice".

The package says "Limited Edition", so who knows how long it will last. But I definitely like the idea of marrying together Thai flavors with bland English pub fare.

Hemp Seed Sauce

German food manufacturer, Hanf & Natur, has a new product out called Canyu Bio-Hanfsauce, a sauce made from hemp seeds.

It's intended for vegans, so that their bowls of rice don't have to be so bland.

The ingredients are limited to just hemp seeds, salt, and water. According to the manufacturer, the sauce is GM free, gluten free, and free from additives and preservatives.

Polish Ice Balls

Ice-Mastry S.J., a Poland-based manufacturer of frozen treats, has introduced ice balls under its Inne brand.

Inne Ice Balls are small balls of colored ice presented in an 80ml tub. They come in four different colors, blue, pink, orange, and green.

I guess it's something similar to eating frozen melon balls, except all your getting is flavored water.
