Peeps - Yellow Tulips

Keep an eye out for some early bloomers next year (Easter falls on March 23rd in 2008). Just Born is debuting their newest Spring treat with a new shape for their Peeps line: Marshmallow Yellow Tulips.

They are available in the United States in the little 1.125 ounce trays with 3 linked flowers. Retail price should be about $.59. Also look out for the larger 9 piece version for $1.19. (I think it'd be fun to get a tray that had three colors in it ... yellow, pink and lavender.)

Just Born's Peeps products are flagged as a "gluten free" treat.

GudFud

GudFud (pronounced "goood foood") is brand of stuffed marshmallow candies just introduced in the United States.

Stuffed marshmallows are not uncommon in Asia as a sweet treat (and can be found in Asian stores in the US) but have not been formally introduced here yet.

GudFud capitalized on the popularity of the candies is Japan and Malaysia and brands them for the American market. The first flavor varieties introduced here are the Chocolate Stuffed Marshmallows and the Fruit Jelly Stuff Marshmallows (grape, orange & strawberry).

The candies are currently available on the GudFud Website in sample packs and full boxes.

Peeps Peppermint Stars

Just Born is adding another item to their insanely popular Peeps marshmallow line. For the winter holidays they're introducing their first peppermint flavored Peeps.

Peeps Peppermint Flavored Marshmallow Stars are five-point-star shaped with a dusting of red sparkles.

Peeps boast no fat and are gluten free.

The 3 3/8 oz package holds 9 marshmallow stars and will retail for $.99.

Orange Marshmallow Pumpkin

It's almost that time of year! Hershey is offering a variety of individually wrapped Halloween inspired candies. One variety is the Orange Marshmallow Pumpkin; which is a "milk chocolate covered orange flavored marshmallow pumpkin."

Each of the 1.1oz. Halloween Candies sell for $0.69.

Little Debbie - Spirit of America Marshmallow Treats

Just in time for the upcoming Independence Day celebration, McKee Foods Corp. is offering a patriotic version of Marshmallow Squares under their Little Debbie brand.

And who better to celebrate the Fourth of July than the iconic little red-headed Little Debbie? These new marshmallow treats are made with red, white, and blue crisp rice, and individually wrapped in "Spirit of America" wrappers.

The company is also co-producing a series of collector cards with The Biography Channel that feature a famous American with his or her biography. Each box contains a card.

Sugar-Free Peeps

Just Born, Inc., more famously known for making the line of "Peeps" marshmallow animals, and the Mike & Ike candies, announced that they'll be selling a sugar-free variety of Peeps for Easter of 2007.

Sugar Free Marshmallow Peeps are being billed as the first sugar-free, non-chocolate marshmallow confection on the market. Instead of sugar, they'll contain Splenda.

The company will also be offering two other new products. Their "Original Marshmallow Chicks Candy" will soon be available in a "bright and eye-catching" green color for St. Patrick's Day.

Meanwhile, the other new product will be "Cocoa Marshmallow Bunnies", billed as the first cocoa flavored Easter Peeps.
