Hannah Montana Candy Line

Apparently Imaginings 3 of Niles, IL is planning to launch a line of candy under the "Hannah Montana" brand name.

Among the offerings are these "Glamour Guitar Lollipops" which includes one sour, and one sweet. There are also sweet & sour "Concert Candy Sour Gummies" in shapes of guitars and microphones, as well as the "Disco Ball Pop", and the "Picture Ring Lollipops", and gum roll.

The line is expected to retail in 2008.

Bubbilicious Ink'd Gum

Bubblicious Ink'd Bubble Gum by Cadbury Adams is now available in the US.

The bubble gum comes in rolls with seven individual pieces. The Sour Frantic Fruit flavor also boasts that yo'll be "ink'd" by coloring your tongue as you chew.

As a child I specifically stayed away from candy that colored my tongue, lest the adults know I'd been indulging.

Chewing Gum that Washes Off with Soap

Revolymer Ltd., a Wales-based company, claims to have developed a new chemical base for chewing gum that allows it to removed from pavements and surfaces with soap and water.

According to Professor Terence Cosgrove, the company's chief scientific officer...

"We have managed to change the surface characteristics of the gum base which will allow a stream of water or a mild soap solution to break the adhesion between chewing gum residues and surfaces such as paving stones, furniture, hair, etc.,"

The company now wants to create its own chewing gum and put it to the real test. If this takes off, we may end up with a new problem of chewing gum gobbing up our sewer systems.

Mad-Croc Energy Gum - New Formula

Nutravail, which makes the line of Mad-Croc Energy Gum, claims to have released a better tasting product.


The gum had received numerous poor reviews with claims that it tasted awful. One reviewer said that the flavor ran out quickly, and after that, tasted like rubber bands.

The new formula also is also sugarless, now sweetened with Xylitol.

The packaging is even redesigned.

Varieties still include Cinnamon, Peppermint, and Spearmint.

Tootsie Roll is now offering these Blow Pop Minis under their Charms brand.

Described as a "Blow Pop with no stick", it's the same bubblegum-filled lolly, but takes a step closer to being environmentally-friendly since it appears to save a few more trees.

Bubble Toons Bubble Gum

Bubble Toons Bubble Gum is a new product from Niles, IL-based Imaginings 3, Inc., the makers of the Flix Candy line.

Each piece of Bubble Tons Bubble Gum has a cartoon picture printed on it. Actually, the picture is printed on a piece of rice paper which dissolves in your mouth. I suppose it's a progression from Botan Rice Candy, which has the same rice paper, but with a separate tattoo.

The company also says this gum will turn your teeth and tongue a certain color, temporarily, depending on the flavor.

Varieties include, Scooby Doo (apple & watermelon), Trollz (strawberry), Care Bears (blue raspberry), and Hot Wheels (blue raspberry).

Vitamin Gum Sugar Free

South Korea-based Xyvita Co. Ltd. is now offering "Vitamin Gum", a chewing gum with 100% of the recommended daily allowance of Vitamin C.

The company claims it's the world's first chewable Vitamin C in gum form.

The chiclet-shaped gum is available in green, yellow, and red colors, with no indication of flavor, except that the company's website shows pictures of apples, lemons, and tomatoes. It's sugar-free, being sweetened with xylitol.

They available in the USA in 8-piece and 12-piece blister-packs costing $.99 and $1.29 respectively, as well as a 45-count plastic bottle for $4.99.
