While it's been selling in various markets across the country for the past year-and-a-half, it's never been "rolled" out nationwide.
McDonald's describes it as follows...
The McSkillet Burrito combines scrambled eggs, sausage and skillet potatoes with savory flavors and ingredients including a medley of cheeses, red and green bell peppers, onions and salsa roja. Available today for $2.49 each.
The world's largest fast-food burger chain says it's been seeing a 42% increase in breakfast sales since 2002, a statistic that seems to be driving new breakfast concoctions across all fast-food chains.

How many fat grams and calories?
I have lived in sourthern CA for about 25 year. This burrito I would rate very poor. I like their breakfast burrito very much. Eating this makes one think the cook forgot to add some ingredients.
I'm eating it now, and I'am very disappointed. I agree with ken a feww ingredients are missing! and it reminds me of a untasty bigger version of the breakfast burrito.
had it myself a couple of days ago. I must say I could have found a better breakfast to spend my money on. I would rate it poor also, seems like its missing something, like more meat. And there was too much sauce.
This was the worst breakfast item I have ever consumed. I am a huge fan of the breakfast burrito, and was hoping the McSkillet would be just a larger version of my fav breakfast item; needless to say, it was not. It was so horrible that I tossed it out after just 2 miserable bites. What a waste! I think from now on I'll just stick with what I know.
My stongest praise for this today is "At least it was free". All in all I'm not a big fan of breakfast burritos but I tried it because of the above mentioned reason. Found it to be edible and on par with the rest of the food offered by McDonalds (It works when your to lazy to cook). I thought it was a lot better than the sausage mcmuffin I got with it.
I like the burrito and disagree with all the comments so far. I would definitely recommend it as it is filling and tasty!
Worst burrito--breakfast or otherwise--that I have ever tasted. The 'salsa roja' was smoky and too hot for my 7am taste buds. The 'skillet potatoes' were undercooked. BTW, not sure if mine had sausage or not.
610 Cal with 36 grams of fat
yuck!!!!
If you would like your colon to be screaming in pain for the next three to four days, this is the burrito for you. How about a nice bran muffin?
Just a bunch of junk.
I am so happy McDonald's finally has something I can eat for breakfast AKA the McSkillet Burrito. I don’t like the traditional breakfast of sausage and egg, unless you wrap it up in a burrito with some spicy salsa and cheese. My family loves McDonald's breakfast but I would refuse to eat there and my wife would have to twist my arm and force me to got there for her and the kids and I would end up just getting a coffee and starving myself rather that eat the normal breakfast burrito, which tastes like wet egg with some formaldehyde soaked tomatoes passed off as salsa. So I was a little reluctant to try the new McSkillet Burrito my wife said was so good, but from the first bite I was hooked. I now find myself coming up with excuses to go to McDonalds for breakfast and even saying I am not hungry then sneaking off there after everyone else is done when we eat somewhere else or even at home. I do wish it has more salsa and cheese and they changed or just left out those potatoes, I don’t care for them, but it is by far the best breakfast burrito I have ever had hand down. In fact my son has a doctors appointment at 10:45 and I couldn’t really find anything I wanted to eat at home and McDonalds is on the way, I think I will go get a McSkillet Burrito right now!
It's more like McSh*t It Burrito. The entire day after I ate it I had the worst smelling gas.
Next time I am constipated, I know what to eat!
Can you get it without the salsa? Maybe it's just my McDonald's but the ingredients taste OK while the sauce is just horrible and ruins the whole thing.
I love the McSkillet Burrito. The potatoes and the salsa really add a great flavor to it. And not sure if it's changed, but those making comments that it 'did not have enough meat' - mine had nearly an entire whole sausage patty in it - so maybe they changed it? Any rate, excellent.
My only complaint? TOO BIG! Make a McSkillet JR. ... and I might go there everyday for breakfast. Way too much food. Guess you could cut it in half and eat the other half the next morning - but who wants to heat up a day old burrito?
