New from Trader Joe's are these Papadums. It's described as a traditional Indian delicacy, made from lentil or bean flour and black peppers. They are thin, spicy, crispy wafers, and are usually the size of a tortilla.
Trader Joe's dropped the size down to a chip and are offering them in two flavors, Tandoori Masala, and Yogurt and Dill.
A 5 ounce bag sells for $2.49.

I bought the yogurt and dill kind. Pretty tasty, but rather spicy. I don't know how authentic they are, but they are nice lower fat alternative to regular chips.
omgosh these chips are SO good. I like seriously L-O-V-E them. As anonymous said they are a bit spicy but Trader Joe's sure knows how to make a good chip! Totally worth buying again and again...price wise as well as (especially) flavorwise.
mmm mmm GOOD
Wow these chips were AWESOME! I really liked them a lot. i am a real fan of indian snacks and lemme tell you, you get hooked on this stuff.
tres delicieux.
I don't know much about Indian snack foods, but the Tandoori Masala chips are rediculously good. Spicy, tangy and almost impossible to stop eating. The texture is a little more like a fried flour tortilla chip than crisp all the way through like a potato chip. Even so, they are so incredibly tasty and resonably priced that I'll be buying these every time I hit TJ's. Looking forward to trying the Yogurt & Dill flavor.
I am addicted. These are my favorite -- especially the masala. Nicely spicy.
Trader Joe's no longer carries the delicious Papadums, at least in Tucson. They can be ordered thru Amazon.com however.
Yeah Trader Joe's discontinued them.
