Dunkin' Donuts has partnered with The Mars Corporation to produce two new offerings, the "M&Ms Donut" and the "Milky Way Hot Chocolate".Milky Way Hot Chocolate is described as a rich, smooth, hot chocolate that blends chocolate, caramel and vanilla nougat flavors, just like the classic candy bar.
The M&M's Donut, comes with either chocolate or vanilla icing and is sprinkled with colorful mini M&M's.
Both are available at Dunkin' Donuts nationwide.

As soon as I heard about the hot chocolate I ran out and got one. They are delicious. Rather than just a cloying, artificial aftertaste, you can actually taste a hint of carmel and nougat without it overpowering the hot chocolate taste.
But I think m&m's on a donut is a bit much.
Wait until I tell the gals at Low Carb Friends! They'll be cursing my very existence! LOL

I am having one as I am typing this and initially I thought Eh, it's ok but as you continue to drink it turns out it's really delicious.

I had a milky way hot chocolate the other day finally, and it was the first time I've ever thrown out something from DD without finishing it. Not sure if I just wasn't in the mood, but it tasted weird. Not at all like what I thought it would.
I know of a recipe for Dove Hot Chocolate. It is something you can make right at home with a powdered packet of hot chocolate, whipping cream, and a dove bar. It tastes great. For detailed instructions, go to Dove Hot Chocolate
I personally love drinking chocolate, but there is a big difference between hot chocolate and drinking chocolate. The main difference is using the cacoa part of the bean vs. the cocoa powder. You are getting the good part including the cocoa butter, which you can really tell because when heated repeatedly, you'll see the cocoa butter rise to the top.
I found a lot of info and good recipes at http://www.drinkingchocolates.com. They even have flavorings you can add like raspberry and irish crème. Yum! The Italian Style Drinking Chocolate at drinkingchocolates.com is so delicious - better than any cocoa mix I've ever had at least.

No they didnt! I got one 2 days ago in Cambridge, MA... please tell me they're not taking it away!
I tried to get one this morning and was told they don't carry it anymore.
I also have not been able to get one for the past few days at a few DD locations.
You can get Dunkin Donuts Milky Way Hot Chocolate on Ebay right now. Pretty cheap too.
Everyone who misses Dunkin Donuts Milky Way hot chocolate should write the company and ask them to bring it back. (I did) Maybe if enough people show an interest, they'll reinstate it.
I will defiantly write to them, I love the stuff. It's making thirsty just thinking about it.
