Clemmy's Ice Cream of Rancho Mirage, CA, announced today that it has become the first company in the history of the mankind to offer an ice cream that is both "all natural" and "sugar free". And seeing how important that is, I thought it necessary to mention it here.
The company recently started up, and is offering five flavors...
- Vanilla Bean
- Chocolate
- Coffee
- Toasted Almond
- Chocolate Mint Swirl
The company justifies its claims by saying that while many other products claim to be "sugar free" they actually still contain some sugar. Clemmy's is apparently absolutely and completely, 100%, sugar-free.
Clemmy's will be available in limited distribution at the end of March in quart-sized containers. If you own a store, and you'd like to sell the stuff, contact the company at its website...

that should be an interesting one to taste! can't wait to read your post once you have tried it!!! ;)
I found this in my local Lowes Food last night and it is, hands down, the best low-carb/sugar-free/etc ice cream I've tasted yet. It actually reminds me of the Baskin-Robbins chocolate ice cream I used to get. It may seem a bit pricey at first, but compare it to Ben&Jerry's or any other "select" ice cream and for those watching their sugar intake, it's a dream. I can't wait to try the other flavors.
I look forward to hearing what others think of it. :D
I can not wait to read your thoughts on it once you have tried it.
Tried it, and although tasty, it gave me terrible flatulence. Apparently uses sorbitol, which commonly has this effect.
wow! sugar-free and all natural. this is nice! perfect for my diet! nice post!
What is all natural about xylitol and malitol??
There is another sugar-Free ice cream called "Lukes" It is out of Florida.
I have tried all of Clemmy's including the newly launched sugar-free 'Lukes'. The Vanilla Beans is my favourite.
I would like to know when you are going to come to the St. Charles, Missouri area. It is far too expensive to have shipped.
Wonder when you are coming to the St. Charles, Mo area. Too expensive to have shipped to Missouri.
So, sorbitol is one of the ingredients? You mentioned in the video Xylitol. I do have to agree with the shipping charges.
I would much rather have this product locally - Omaha Ne.
This is delicious ice cream but gives me killer flatulence, which is a little too "natural" for my life style. (sigh)
I searched high and low in Arizona and finally found Clemmy's at a Mesa health food chain. I was very impressed by the flavor and texture of the toasted almond. I tried a serving (1/2 cup) and within 20 minutes started experiencing the worst flatulence of my life. I went through a whole box of gas ex with no relief. I would only eat this ice cream if I was a shut in with good ventilation.
Clemmy's Sugar Free ice cream is the best i have ever ate..I'm a long time diabetic and Clemmy's does not run my blood sugar up like (no sugar added) does.
