Seeds of Change is a Santa Fe, NM-based company that produces a line of foods made from plants grown from seeds that they produced and supplied to farmers. They recently announced a line of chocolate bars. The bars were produced in Italy presumably from cacoa beans grown from their own seeds (or at least that's my presumption). There are five varieties...
- Veneto, a Dark Chocolate with Espresso Beans and Lemon Essence blend
- Narragansett, a Dark Chocolate with Candied Pecans, Cranberries and Orange Oil blend
- La Dominicana, a Dark Chocolate
- Santa Catarina, a Dark Chocolate with Mango, Toasted Coconut and Cashews blend
- Bayano, a Dark Chocolate with Cacao Nibs and Cinnamon Oil blend
All of the solid Bars are sold in 3.53 oz. paper wrappers depicting graphics of the represented country. The suggested retail price is $3.99 each.

Huh, interesting. I know they have pretty good products, but this is a first time i hear about their chocolate. Did anyone try it?
This chocolate is fantastic! One of the best organic chocolates around, and made with heart!
I stumbled across them in a N. California WalMart. I tried the one with cinnamon oil. It was good.. not too sweet... wonderful aroma. I'd like some more. Where else can I buy them?
I've tried the one with orange/pecan/cranberry and it is fantastic. I am hounding every organic food store in the area to find someone to order it. I called Seeds of change and they told me that they're test marketing it right now. Perhaps that's why you haven't heard of it before. I think it's pure heaven.
I have tried the Bayano and it is wonderful. Very dark and bitter, but incredibly delicious if you love dark chocolate.
All the seeds of change chocolate I have tried is great. The cinnamon oil & cocoa nib is a little strong for my taste, but I would buy the plain and ones with dried fruit/nuts again in a heartbeat. I am having a terrible time finding anywhere to buy it, though.
Yes, the Narragansett and Santa Catarina were great!
I tried some of the bars at the Fancy Food Show in San Francisco over the weekend. They're tasty but I didn't get much info from them ... there's still nothing on their website about the chocolate bars.
We are going to review this product live on www.thebouldersound.com Saturday at 9pm MST on the sex and chocolate show at www.clickcaster.com/emotional-riot
We review different chocolates each week.

Lovely dark chocolate . They have plain 61% and rest have unique additives of the area they speak about. I really like them. My sister gave them to me as gift and she lives in the big city And I live in a small South Texas town.
I also love 86% from Lindt. Its awesome.

just amazing chocolate! i had the Santa catarina bar, and it was delicius!
I just cant find any other information on line about their chocolate bars...
Just tried the Dark Chocolate with coconut. Well worth it, a true sign that I've "grown up" gone are the days that I purchase the big name cheap chocolate bars, because there is no reason to, once you've tasted these. Plus you know you've just purchase something for a cause, you feel good, and it tastes amazing.
I just want to tell you about the new line of chocolates from Seeds of Change. The packaging has changed, but they are still crafted for the best taste. All six flavors come in individually wrapped 28-gram bars, three to a package, perfect for portion control, freshness and portability. Look for them at Whole Foods!
Does anyone now where their chocolate bars are actually produced? They are very good but could not find out that info.
