The last time I took a break from blogging, I was in the hospital recovering from a motorcycle accident.
This last lapse was due to other reasons, a little more complicated.
The last few years, blogging and publishing websites has become my full time job. I operate my a home business under the name Clear Digital Media, Inc. It's an actual incorporated business, and I take it pretty seriously.
While Junk Food Blog has grown to become quite popular, it generates very little revenue for Clear Digital Media. Food blogging, or at least the style I write in, just doesn't attract a lot of clicks. JFB is largely a creative outlet for me; a way to poke fun at strange tasties, or to just put them on display and let other junk food junkies salivate.
I need to focus time on things that make money.
What I really need to do is hire some writers. We do have Kelli, who has blogged here on JFB before, but we're using her for other websites right now. That's why I've been working on our top earning websites, trying to raise revenues so that we can hire more writers.
But I'm also doing a disservice to all the faithful JFB readers, who I promised to deliver photos and reports of new "artery clogging filth" on a regular basis. Honestly, I'm feeling bad about letting you down.
So enough with the explanation, LET'S GET ON WITH THE CRAP!

Be sure to do what dooce.com does with their ads...they're in the RSS feeds. That should help JFB out at least a little bit. I read through LiveJournal, so it's been a while since I've actually been to your site.
I'm so glad you're back ... I was actually worried and clicked through ALL your blogs and was at least less worried when I saw that you'd been posting elsewhere.
I miss my junk food!
Yay! I really love reading your blog, glad to see you back. ^__^
Good! Your back! I kept checking, but it wasn't changed. Please keep this site alive. This is like a man's heaven for food.
Glad to have you back. As a Canuck, I'm always jealous that we are offered so few varieties of "junk food." Your blog is like a Christmas "wish book." A catalog of things I want ... but can never have.
Welcome back ... and good luck with your home business. I gave up freelancing because too many clients thought it should really be FREE.
