Did you know that October is National Cookie Month? Yup. Don't ask me who's responsible for making it that, but I have a pretty good idea who.General Mills published a media release encouraging Americans to celebrate by baking cookies at home. They note that buying cookies from the store can cost people anywhere from $5.00 to $12.00 per bag, while baking your own cookies will cost you about $2.20 for three dozen cookies.
Of course it's worth pointing out that General Mills owns the Pilsbury and Betty Crocker brands, which are known for selling do-it-yourself cookie baking kits, namely the Betty Crocker Cookie Pouches, and the Pilsbury Ready to Bake Cookies.
Nonetheless, there's nothing like savoring the smell of cookies baking in the oven, and enjoying a hot cookie fresh out of the oven!
